Flagger Certification

This course is designed to offer flagging
skills necessary to individuals who work in the construction field as
a flagger and to those interested in becoming a flagger. By the end
of the training, participants will have a complete understanding of
the fundamentals of flagging.
Certification
is good for four years and will be awarded upon completion
and passing of the flagging exam. The certification will satisfy the
State of Alaska requirements for working as a flagger on construction
projects. Participants may be added to the National Flagger Database
upon completion.

Selecting the proper flagging
situations/locations and/or positions

Handling traffic using a paddle

Communicating effectively with
the public, supervisor, and co-workers
