Upon completion of this 32-hour course, students will have gained knowledge and a better understanding of solving difficult service problems.  Additionally, there will be two days of “On-the-job” training in Troubleshooting Hydronic Sytems.

Topical areas to be covered will include:

Ø The new oil pumps and solenoid valve use.  Troubleshooting pumping problems and the use of gauges.

Ø Proper adjustments of the new firing assemblies and choosing the proper nozzle for the unit.  Troubleshooting firing assembly problems.

Ø Maintaining and troubleshooting controls and wiring systems found in oil appliances.

Ø The use of Combustion Analyzers and Carbon Monoxide instruments in setting-up the new unit.

Ø Service and troubleshooting the “special types” of oil heating appliances.

Ø When to consider using the new “Solid State” Pre-purge – Post-purge microprocessor relays.

There will be eight (8) NORA CEU credits awarded for this class.  The NORA CEU credits are only awarded to those already holding either the Silver or Gold certificates and may be applied to the required 24 credits in five years for recertification.
